funerals
Whatever your choice of funeral – cremation, interment, woodland burial, memorial service or scattering of ashes – I will ensure that the content of the ceremony is right for you and your family.
I visit you (usually at your home), to discuss choices and to start our conversation about your loved one. This may take longer than one visit and might be continued by email or telephone – whatever makes you most comfortable.
You may wish to include a favourite hymn or prayer in the ceremony or want suggestions for suitable poems and texts.
I will give you a draft of the ceremony script for editing and approval, when any changes and additions can be made. On the day of the funeral, I will deliver the agreed script at the chosen venue with clarity and sensitivity.
You will receive a presentation copy of the ceremony script, by post, to keep after the funeral, if you have requested it.
eulogy writing
I can provide a eulogy or tribute for a funeral that is eloquent and well-written. I will spend time with you and your family to glean the small details, anecdotes, colours and expressions that make each life story unique, in order to capture the essence of the person who has died.
pre-need planning
If you are thinking about planning your own funeral, there are many choices to consider. I can help you decide on the kind of ceremony you would like and write a full script for the occasion, which can be placed with your solicitor or chosen funeral director for the future.
